It seems like there’s bad blood between Drake and DeMar DeRozan.

The friendship the two once had appears to be long gone following DeRozan’s appearance in Kendrick Lamar’s music video “Not Like Us.”

Drake was in attendance to see the Toronto Raptors retire Vince Carter’s No. 15 jersey against DeRozan and the Sacramento Kings.

He jumped on the TSN broadcast with Matt Devlin and Jack Armstrong when he took aim at DeRozan.

“If you ever put a DeRozan banner, I’ll pull that thing down myself,” Drake said.

“If you ever put a DeRozan banner up ill go up there and pull it down myself….shout out to Kyle”. Drake, salty at DeMar DeRozan who was in the Not Like Us video with Kendrick Lamar. Damn. pic.twitter.com/KUN3ViL9E9

Drake also called DeRozan a “goof” on the broadcast.

Following the game, DeRozan responded to Drake’s banner comment and opted to take the high road.

“He’s gonna have a long way to climb to take it down so tell him good luck,” DeRozan said.

DeRozan and Drake had a good relationship when DeRozan was with the Raptors. DeRozan previously called Drake a “brother.” Drake even mentioned DeRozan in “Lemon Pepper Freestyle.”

However, their relationship took a turn for the worst when Kendrick Lamar began feuding with Drake in heated rap battle. Lamar who’s from Compton, California mentioned DeRozan in one of the lyrics. “I’m glad DeRoz’ came home, y’all didn’t deserve him neither.” This suggesting that Toronto didn’t deserve DeRozan while he was on the Raptors.

DeRozan also took the stage with Lamar during his live performance of “Not Like Us,” in June which stirred up even more drama.

3 takeaways from Raptors win over Kings

The Toronto Raptors defeated the Sacramento Kings 131-128 on the night the franchise retired Vince Carter’s No. 15 jersey. Here are 3 takeaways from the game.
