The Toronto Raptors will be getting a purple court after all.

The NBA unveiled the Raptors court for the 2024 Emirates NBA Cup and it will be purple.

The Raptors have brought back their iconic purple jerseys for their 30th anniversary season, so it’s only fitting that the court will also feature the classic purple:

This season the Raptors are in East Group B with the Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat, Detroit Pistons, and the Indiana Pacers. The purple courts will be used on Nov. 15 against the Detroit Pistons and Dec. 3 against the Indiana Pacers.

Last season’s In-Season Tournament did not go well for the Raptors. They’re hoping that they will have a much better showing this year with Scottie Barnes, Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett leading the way.

The NBA implemented the In-Season Tournament last season. The Raptors had a black-and-grey court for those games.

However, the courts last season had some issues, when Boston Celtics’ Jaylen Brown suffered a minor injury and said that the Scotiabank Arena NBA Cup court was to blame.

Expect the courts this time around to be better for the players.

Scottie Barnes gets candid about Raptors opening night loss

It wasn’t the type of start to the season Scottie Barnes was expecting.

Barnes turned in a forgettable performance on opening night. He scored just 9 points on 3-for-14 shooting from the field and 0-for-2 shooting from three. Barnes also had 2 turnovers and was a game-worst -33.

He got real about the Raptors performance against the Cavaliers calling it an “ass-whopping.”
