Green played one season in Toronto and helped the Raptors win their first ever NBA Championship. Toronto acquired Green in a blockbuster deal with the San Antonio Spurs in the 2018 offseason that saw the Raptors send DeMar DeRozan and Jakob Poeltl to the Spurs for Green and Kawhi Leonard.
Green played 11 games total last season and spent time with the Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers where he played with former Raptors coach Nick Nurse.
Green was a three-point sharpshooter with the Raptors. He hit on 45.5 percent of his threes in 2018-19. He averaged 10.3 points and 4.0 rebounds that season for Toronto. Green was a standout perimeter defender as well.
After his championship season in Toronto, Green signed with the Los Angeles Lakers where he won his third NBA Championship alongside Anthony Davis and LeBron James.
In his career Green averaged 8.7 points on 421. percent shooting from the field and 40 percent shooting from deep. He earned All-Defensive second-team honors in 2016-17 as a member of the Spurs.
Green is currently the co-host of the Inside the Green Room show with Harrison Sanford.
Scottie Barnes will make preseason debut against Wizards
Scottie Barnes hasn’t suited up for the Toronto Raptors since March 1 after suffering a season-ending hand injury.
He was close to returning before the end of last season, but the Raptors played it safe and kept him sidelined heading into the offseason. Barnes missed training camp and the Raptors first preseason game for a personal reason.
However, the 23-year-old is expected to make his long awaited return to the court on Oct. 11 in Washington against the Wizards.
