Jeff Dowtin Jr. has found a new home.

Dowtin Jr. has inked a two-way contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

This deal comes due to his strong performance with Philadelphia’s Summer League roster:

The Philadelphia 76ers are signing guard Jeff Dowtin Jr. on a two-way NBA contract, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Dowtin averaged 17.1 points and 5.7 assists across NBA Summer League for 76ers this season after playing 12 games for Philadelphia in 2023-24.

The 6’3″ guard is looking for an opportunity at 27-years-old and seemingly does not have much time left to show what he’s got.

In three years, Dowtin Jr. has suited up for five teams, Toronto, Philadelphia, the Golden State Warriors, Orlando Magic and Milwaukee Bucks.

For his career, Dowtin Jr. is averaging 2.9 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists on 44.5 percent shooting from the field and 34.1 percent shooting from deep.

Hopefully, finding a new home with the 76ers will result in a long term stay for the former Raptor.

In his lone season with the Raptors, Dowtin Jr. averaged 2.4 points, 0.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists on 43.9 percent shooting from the field and 31.3 percent shooting from distance in 25 games. Dowtin Jr. played the most games with Toronto.

While Philadelphia has their guard rotation seemingly set with Tyrese Maxey, Kyle Lowry and Jared McCain, performing well in the G League is all Dowtin Jr. can do right now.

Former Raptors forward Ron Harper Jr. signs Exhibit 10 contract with Celtics

Dowtin Jr. is not the only former Raptor on the move as Ron Harper Jr. also found a new landing spot.

On July 14, Harper Jr. signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the reigning champion Boston Celtics. He spent his summer on Boston’s Summer League roster.

This contract allows him to join the Celtics in training camp, as he will likely spend his time playing for their G League affiliate the Maine Celtics.
