The Toronto Raptors have signed one of their Summer League standouts.
Toronto has inked Jamison Battle to an Exhibit 10 deal, according to Sportsnet’s Blake Murphy:
The Raptors have signed Jamison Battle, as suggested they should within!
It’s an Exhibit 10 deal, per a source. So camp, battle for a spot, bonus if he’s cut and joins 905. https://t.co/Y9WpxOjkxn

The deal comes after a couple of impressive outings from Battle. The 6-foot-7 forward out of Ohio State has turned heads during his performances with the Raptors, shooting 5-for-8 from behind the arc in his two Summer League outings.
Battle was a fifth-year senior who began his collegiate career at George Washington before transferring as a junior to Minnesota. He averaged a career-high 17.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game as a junior with the Golden Gophers. Then he transferred again to join the Buckeyes last season.
With the Buckeyes, Battle averaged 15.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game while shooting 46.9 percent from the field and 43.3 percent from three-point range.
Battle went undrafted last month and then signed with the Raptors Summer League team.
Battle has been a big boost from off the bench. He had 12 points in his first Summer League game and then had 11 points in his second game. Battle will have another opportunity to impress in the Raptors third Summer League game.
The Raptors roster is currently full with 15 players on guaranteed contracts. The three two-way spots are taken and Javon Freeman-Liberty is on a non-guaranteed contract. Quincy Guerrier is also on an Exhibit 10 deal.
Since Battle is on an Exhibit 10 deal, he’ll likely join Toronto in training camp before being waived. However, the Raptors will keep his rights for the G League.
Battle will then have the opportunity to join Raptors 905 for this season.
