Former Toronto Raptors forward Ron Harper Jr. has found a new home.
Harper Jr. has inked an Exhibit 10 contract with the reigning champion Boston Celtics. This deal will allow him to join Boston in training camp and will likely lead to the forward playing for the Maine Celtics, their G League affiliate.
Harper Jr. has yet to receive a quality opportunity in the NBA. He only appeared in one game during the 2023-24 season and has played in 10 games in his short career.
Perhaps by Boston keeping him in their development system, he can continue to grow and get a chance to perform sometime down the line.
This news was announced by Keith Smith of Spotrac. Harper Jr. is currently on the Celtics Summer League roster:

When his departure from Toronto became official, many expected Harper Jr. to stick around for at least another year or two. Nonetheless, he gets an opportunity to show something to a team coming off their 18th championship.
In totality, Harper Jr. averaged 2.0 points, 0.7 rebounds and 0.5 assists on 50 percent shooting from the field and 33.3 percent shooting from deep.
Former Raptor Christian Koloko medically cleared to return to basketball
Another former Raptor is trying to find his footing, that being Christian Koloko. As the No. 33 pick in 2022, many expected him to become a vital piece of the Raptors rotation.
After suffering from blood clot issues last season, Koloko was unable to suit up and Toronto eventually decided to cut him.
Now, Koloko is medically cleared to return to basketball, which could lead to a possible return to the NBA.
