The Toronto Raptors have signed Ulrich Chomche.
The Raptors have reportedly signed the No. 57 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft to a two-year, two-way contract.
He will join the Raptors and Raptors 905 next season, according to Sportsnet’s Blake Murphy:

Chomche will fill Toronto’s final two-way spot, alongside DJ Carton and Branden Carlson. All three players will split time next season between Toronto and Raptors 905.
Toronto acquired the No. 57 pick which they used to draft Chomche from the Minnesota Timberwolves for $1 million cash, per Sportsnet’s Michael Grange.
Chomche is a developmental pick for Toronto. He grew up in Cameroon and began playing basketball at 11-years-old. Chomche began playing professionally in the Basketball Africa League when he turned 16-years-old.
Chomche will be on the Raptors Summer League roster later this month. He will then begin next season with Raptors 905. Chomche will help give Toronto some more frontcourt depth. He’s a 6-foot-11 center with a 7-foot-4 wingspan.
Chomche will not be eligible for postseason play while he’s on a two-way deal. However, the Raptors can convert his contract to a standard deal at any point over the next two seasons.
Toronto has now signed all three of its second-round picks. Toronto’s first-round pick Ja’Kobe Walter has not officially been signed to a deal yet, but he will likely sign his rookie contract before the Raptors begin Summer League play on July 13 against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Toronto expected to move on from Gary Trent Jr.
Gary Trent Jr.’s time with the Toronto Raptors appears to be coming to an end.
Trent Jr. is an unrestricted free agent and he has yet to sign with a team.
According to TSN’s Josh Lewenberg, multiple league sources believe Toronto is prepared to move on from the 25-year-old guard.
The Raptors offer is no longer on the table, per Lewenberg. Toronto has since made moves that indicate Trent Jr. is no longer in their plans.
