DeMar DeRozan and Drake’s relationship appears to have taken a turn for the worst.

The former Toronto Raptors star who seemed to have a great relationship with Drake appears to be taking Kendrick Lamar’s side in the rap battle between Lamar and Drake.

DeRozan made a cameo appearance in Lamar’s latest music video “Not Like Us.”

Lamar who’s from Los Angeles made it clear that he’s glad DeRozan left Toronto:

“I’m glad DeRoz’ came home, y’all didn’t deserve him neither.”

Lamar and Drake have been in a long feud since 2013 and recently they had a back and forth rap battle.

DeRozan and Drake seemed to have a strong friendship dating back to DeRozan’s time in Toronto

In 2016, DeRozan posed with Drake and Kyle Lowry on the cover of Slam Magazine:

Drake has been the global ambassador for the Raptors since 2013. He was there during the Raptors glory days with DeRozan and Lowry leading the way.

Then the Raptors traded DeRozan is the summer of 2018 for Kawhi Leonard, which left a sour taste in DeRozan’s mouth. Toronto went on to win the NBA Championship in 2019.

DeRozan is currently an unrestricted free agent. His time with the Chicago Bulls appears to be over as there’s been speculation that he’s drawing interest from teams like the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings.

Toronto signs Branden Carlson to two-way contract

The Toronto Raptors have officially signed center Branden Carlson to a two-way contract, the team announced on July 4.

The financial terms of the deals were not disclosed.

The Raptors picked up Carlson following the 2024 NBA Draft. He will take one of the team’s three two-way spots for this upcoming season, joining DJ Carton. The final spot is expected to go to the Raptors No. 57 pick Ulrich Chomche. However, the deal has yet to be announced.

Carlson played five seasons at Utah, where he averaged 12.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 146 career games
