The New York Knicks have made a big blockbuster trade.

The Knicks have acquired Mikal Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets for Bojan Bogdanovic, four unprotected first-round picks, a protected first-round pick via Bucks, an unprotected pick swap and a second-rounder, according to Adrian Wojnarowski:

BREAKING: The Brooklyn Nets have agreed in principle on a trade to send F Mikal Bridges to the New York Knicks for Bojan Bogdanovic, four unprotected first-round picks, a protected first-round pick via Bucks, an unprotected pick swap and a second-rounder, sources tell ESPN. pic.twitter.com/TEGsIpoa3b

The Knicks pay a steep price to go all-in for next season.

An interesting wrinkle to this trade is how will it impact former Toronto Raptors wing O.G. Anunoby who is heading into unrestricted free agency this summer. The Knicks acquired Anunoby from the Raptors in a five-player deal that sent Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett to Toronto.

Anunoby is expected to a sign a contract of at least $35 million per year this offseason, however that number could be even higher depending on the amount of interest he draws from others suitors. The Philadelphia 76ers have been linked to Anunoby and they could pry the 26-year-old away from New York with a max contract offer.

However, despite making the trade for Bridges the Knicks are still determined to keep Anunoby in free agency, per Wojnarowski:

The Knicks are still determined to keep OG Anunoby in free agency, sources tell ESPN, but the ability to resign center Isaiah Hartenstein becomes more difficult now. The Knicks are loading up on wings to match up with the NBA champion Boston Celtics.

Bridges will help the Knicks remain as one of the best teams in Eastern Conference. He averaged 19.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists this past season with the Nets.

O.G. Anunoby hits unrestricted free agency

O.G. Anunoby has declined his $19.9 player option for next season and will head into unrestricted free agency this offseason, according to Fred Katz of The Athletic.

The decision was expected and comes as no surprise as Anunoby is heading for a big payday this summer.
