The Toronto Raptors have made a move.

The team has parted ways with Mouhamadou Gueye, per TSN’s Josh Lewenberg.

Gueye was on a two-way contract with the Raptors since getting called up from the Raptors 905 last season.

The 25-year-old appeared in 11 games off the bench for Toronto. He averaged 2.4 points and 2.1 rebounds per game.

Meanwhile, Gueye appeared in 39 games for the Raptors 905 last season. He averaged 14.2 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 56.1 percent from the field and 21.3 percent from deep.

Toronto has now opened up another two-way spot that they will fill at some point following the draft. The Raptors will likely use that spot to either sign an undrafted free agent or fill it during Summer League.

The Raptors now have two vacant two-way spots. DJ Carton currently fills one after he signed a 10-day deal with Toronto last season.

Last season the Raptors had Markquis Nowell, Ron Harper Jr., and Javon Freeman-Liberty as its three players on two-way contracts. Toronto parted ways with Harper and waived Nowell who then signed with the 905.

Freeman-Liberty remains with the Raptors on a partially guaranteed deal for next season. Freeman-Liberty can earn up to $1.9 million next season if he’s still on Toronto’s roster through Jan. 10, 2025.

The Raptors now get set for the 2024 NBA Draft which is on June 26 and 27.

Former Raptor O.G. Anunoby hits unrestricted free agency

O.G. Anunoby has officially hit free agency.

The former Toronto Raptors wing has declined his $19.9 player option for next season and will head into unrestricted free agency this offseason, according to Fred Katz of The Athletic.

The decision was expected and comes as no surprise as Anunoby is heading for a big payday this summer. Anunoby is expected to re-sign with the New York Knicks. However, there could be other suitors who make things interesting.
