Toronto Raptors center Chris Boucher is not happy about being left off Team Canada.
With the Paris Olympics this summer, Canada had a lot of capable NBA players who should be on the roster. Notably with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jamal Murray leading the way.
As more Canadians enter the league, it becomes harder to make decisions on who makes the cut. Unfortunately, Boucher was that casualty and took to Instagram to share his immediate reaction:

Chris Boucher is the lone player remaining from the Toronto Raptors 2019 championship team.
The 31-year-old signed a three-year, $35.2 million contract with the Raptors in 2022. Now he is entering the final year of his deal.
A lot has changed since then as Toronto embarks on a new journey as a franchise. After trying to remain competitive since the title, the Raptors finally pivoted to a rebuild.
Despite being thrown into trade rumors last deadline, Toronto did not find a deal for Boucher.
Boucher only saw minutes in garbage time after the Raptors made it clear that they are rebuilding. Therefore, it’s only a matter of time before the Raptors and Boucher part ways.

All things considered, the 2023-24 season did not go as planned for Boucher. He had to deal with a diminished role as new players came in and the team changed direction.
