Canada Basketball has officially announced its men’s Olympic training camp roster.

NBA stars Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jamal Murray and Andrew Wiggins will lead the Canadian men’s basketball team at the Paris Olympics in July.

Training camp will be held from June 28 to July 7 in Toronto.

The team is coming off a historic 2023 where it won its first-ever medal at a FIBA World Cup. Canada defeated the United States for bronze last year in Manila, Philippines.

Canada qualified for the Olympics after a thrilling quarterfinal victory over Spain at the tournament. The men’s appearance in Paris will be the program’s first since the Sydney Games in 2000.

The Canadians rank seventh and they are in Group A with Australia and the winners of the Olympic qualifying tournaments in Spain and Greece.

Canada will open things up against the Spain tournament winner on July 27 in Lille, France.

Canada’s full training camp roster will feature:

Kyle Alexander, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, RJ Barrett, Trae Bell-Haynes, Khem Birch, Oshae Brissett, Dillon Brooks, Luguentz Dort, Zach Edey, Melvin Ejim, Gilgeous-Alexander, Mfiondu Kabengele, Trey Lyles, Murray, Andrew Nembhard, Kelly Olynyk, Dwight Powell, Phil Scrubb, Thomas Scrubb and Wiggins.

Bennedict Mathurin and Shaedon Sharpe will also attend training camp to gain experience but the pair won’t compete for roster spots this summer as they both recover from injury.

Once training camp concludes in Toronto, Team Canada will head to Las Vegas to face off against Team USA in an exhibition game at T-Mobile Arena on July 10. It’ll be the first matchup between the two countries since Canada beat USA 127-118 to capture a bronze medal last September.

Masai Ujiri ‘Loves’ Bronny James

The Toronto Raptors are reportedly interested in Bronny James ahead of the 2024 NBA Draft.

The Minnesota Timberwolves, Dallas Mavericks and Raptors have all been linked to the 19-year-old.

According to Bronny’s agent Rich Paul, Masai Ujiri loves Bronny.
