The 2024 NBA Draft is less than two weeks away.
Unless the Toronto Raptors make a trade, they are slated to have picks No. 19 and No. 31 in the draft.
The Raptors have held workouts with many prospects as they begin to narrow down their selections.
In Yahoo Sports’ latest mock draft, Krysten Peek has the Raptors going with a more mature player in Tristian Da Silva at No. 19:
“The Colorado forward was one of the best hybrid frontcourt players in the Pac-12 this year. He has the size and versatility to come in and be an instant contributor to any team that selects him in the first round.”
Da Silva is 23-years-old and he is a competitive defender, great passer with an excellent understanding for the game.
The forward averaged 16 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1.7 stocks per game with 49/39/83 shooting splits.
He posted very good measurables for a wing at the combine – 6-9 with a 6-10 wingspan and an 8’8.50 standing reach.
Da Silva grew into an excellent outside shooter as he knocked down 40 percent of his catch and shoot three-point attempts last season. He was an even better shooter in the NCAA Tournament, which makes him one of the best shooters in this year’s draft class.
He finished well at the rim with both hands and has a nice low post scoring game. Da Silva also works hard on defense, showing promise in that area.
There’s a good chance Da Silva is off the board by the time the Raptors pick at No. 19, but if he falls he would be an ideal pick for Toronto.
Raptors are a team to monitor for Zach Edey
Zach Edey is among the prospects the Toronto Raptors have recently worked out. Edey was sporting a Raptors jersey at the OVO Athletic Center going through a workout in Toronto.
According to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto, Toronto could snag Edey at No. 19 if he falls.
