As the 2024 NBA Draft inches closer and closer the Toronto Raptors will have some important decisions to make.

The Raptors will have picks No. 19 and No. 31 to add some more young talent to their core.

There’s also the possibility of the Raptors potentially trading up to better their position in the draft.

Toronto is reportedly one of three teams trying to trade up in the draft this year.

If the Raptors do keep their current position in the draft, they will still have a chance to draft a solid prospect with their first-round pick.

The Raptors need some frontcourt depth and in HoopsHype’s latest mock draft they have Toronto taking one.

Michael Scotto projects Kel’el Ware out of Indiana to the Raptors:

“Kel’el Ware is an intriguing frontcourt addition after improving his stock mightily in his sophomore season after transferring to Indiana.

Ware ranked in the 87th percentile as a post scorer while developing a consistent right-handed hook shot and a turnaround fadeaway jumper over his right shoulder on the block to complement his three-point shot (.425).”

Ware spoke to HoopsHype about his game at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago:

“I’m definitely able to pick and pop, be able to pick and roll. I can be that lob threat. I’m not slow. I’m able to move my feet. Be able to defend the perimeter and defend guards. I’ve been working on that this time before the draft and being able to just go out there and compete.”

Ware averaged 15.9 points, 9.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.9 blocks on 58.6 percent shooting from the field. He shot 42.5 percent from deep on 1.3 attempts. If Ware can hit the three with consistency at the next level it will make him an even more intriguing option. The 20-year-old is 7-foot, 242 pounds and has an NBA frame that should allow him to hold his own against other big men.

Marquette’s Tyler Kolek among prospects to workout with Raptors

The Toronto Raptors have been working out many prospects ahead of the 2024 NBA Draft.

One player is Marquette’s Tyler Kolek. Kolek is a 6’3″ guard, who averaged 15.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 7.7 assists on 38.8 percent from three. An impressive statline as he could be a viable backup guard behind Immanuel Quickley.
