The 2024 NBA Draft is less than two weeks away for the Toronto Raptors.
This is a big step for Toronto as they progress through this new era led by Scottie Barnes. With picks No. 19 and 31, there is a chance to add complimentary pieces to surround the new face of the franchise.
At this stage of the process, teams are working out prospects to evaluate and see who is worth taking a chance on. So, finding players that can shoot threes and defend at a respectable rate.
Another player who has been added to a long list of workouts for the Raptors is Marquette’s Tyler Kolek, according to Cody Taylor of USA Today.
Kolek is a 6’3″ guard, who averaged 15.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 7.7 assists on 38.8 percent from three. An impressive statline as he could be a viable backup guard behind Immanuel Quickley.
Up to this point, 25 players including Kolek have worked out or have a scheduled workout planned with Toronto. Ranging from various positions and skillsets, Toronto is leaving no stone unturned to see who could fit in their system.
All names include Jaden Bediako of Seton Hall, Virginia’s Reece Beekman, Keion Brooks Jr. from Washington, Marcus Domask of Illinois, Zach Edey of Purdue, Jesse Edwards of West Virginia, Boogie Ellis of USC, Tristan Enaruna from Cleveland State, Providence’s Ticket Gaines, Joseph Girard III from Clemson, Coleman Hawkins of Illinois, Arizona’s Keshad Johnson, Dillon Jones of Weber State, Xaivian Lee of Princeton, Emanuel Miller from TCU, San Francisco’s Jonathan Mogbo, Josh Oduro of Providence, Tyrese Samuel from Florida, UConn’s Cam Spencer, Jaylon Tyson of Cal, Santiago Vescovi of Tennessee, Hason Ward from Iowa State, Kel’el Ware from Indiana and Jahmir Young of Maryland.
