As the Toronto Raptors navigate through their rebuild, a lot is still on the table.

The Raptors have an important upcoming 2024 NBA Draft where they’re slated to have picks No. 19 and 31.

Of course, there’s always the possibility of the Raptors striking another deal. Toronto hasn’t been shy as of late when it comes to making trades. Most recently they sent a first-round pick in this year’s draft via the Indiana Pacers (No. 29) along with Kira Lewis and Otto Porter Jr. to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Kelly Olynyk and Ochai Agbaji at the 2024 NBA Trade Deadline.

Toronto could look to make even more trades this offseason to reshuffle the deck.

Dan Favale of Bleacher Report put out an article looking at one trade idea for every team not in the 2024 NBA Finals.

He pitches the Raptors trading Agbaji and the No. 31 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft to the Golden State Warriors for Moses Moody:

“The Raptors could use a plug-and-play wing who holds his own defensively and doesn’t monopolize possessions or shrink the floor on offense.”

There’s a state of uncertainty when it comes to Moody’s place in the Warriors rotation. If the Warriors don’t view Moody a part of their long-term plans then trading him would make sense.

Moody is 22-years-old and he would be an intriguing young talent to add to Toronto’s core three.

Favale points out that the Raptors can complete this deal even if it opts against cap space this summer:

“Moody’s $5.8 salary fits neatly into the $10.1 million traded player exception it created as part of Siakam’s exit.”

Agbaji has shown flashes of being a 3-and-D type player, but he needs to be more consistent with his three-point shot. If Toronto has doubts about his development they could look to flip him if it means bringing in another young player with high-upside like Moody.

Raptors could command ‘serious’ offer for No. 31 pick

Speaking of the Raptors potentially trading their No. 31 pick, Sam Vecenie of The Atheltic reported that the Raptors could have a lot of interest for their 31st pick.
