The 2024 NBA Draft is fast approaching as the Toronto Raptors have picks No. 19 and No 31.
The Raptors announced they will be hosting pre-draft workouts on June 4, headlined by Canadian big man Zach Edey:

Edey will be joined by fellow Canadians Tyrese Samuel, Emanuel Miller, Jahmir Young, Joseph Girard III and Keion Brooks Jr.
There is a lot of buzz surrounding Edey at this year’s draft. The 22-year-old is coming off an impressive senior year with the Purdue Boilermakers where he averaged 25.2 points and 12.2 rebounds. He led the Boilermakers to their first Final Four since 1980.
Edey does have an old-school style of play which is why many are skeptical that his game can translate to the NBA level. He is one of the more difficult prospects to project.
However, Toronto bringing in Edey would make a lot of sense given they have little frontcourt depth. Edey has great size. He measured just under 7’4″ in socks with a near 7’11” wingspan and his touch and footwork have gotten better. Edey would provide the Raptors with physicality around the rim. If Edey can develop a jump shot it would make him even more valuable on offense. He’s already a good screener and finisher around the basket.
Edey has been projected to the Raptors at No. 19 in recent mock drafts. He has also been projected to go as a late lottery pick or even fall to the second-round. There’s a world where Edey can still be on the board when the Raptors make their pick at No. 31.
Nonetheless, Edey is an intriguing prospect and now he has a chance to impress the Raptors during his workout.

The 2024 NBA Draft is set for June 26 and 27th. It will be the first ever two-day event at the NBA Draft.
