The Toronto Raptors 2023-24 season is over.

Toronto drops their final game of the season against the Miami Heat 118-103.

Toronto finishes their campaign 25-57, their fifth-worst record in franchise history. It is their worst season since going 22-60 in 2010-11.

The Raptors showed some signs of life coming out of the All-Star break but then their season fell apart once their All-Star Scottie Barnes went down with injury.

It was a disappointing season for the Raptors but there were some positives. First and foremost Scottie Barnes took the leap the franchise was hoping to see and he became an All-Star this season.

He finished the year averaging 19.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.1 assists while shooting 34.1 percent from three-point range.

The Raptors finally picked a direction instead of being stuck in the middle. They decided to enter a rebuild and got something in return for their pending free agents O.G. Anunoby and Pascal Siakam.

Toronto established a young core of Barnes, RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley to build around.

Barrett looked comfortable with Toronto. He has been aggressive and consistent with the team. He ended up leading the organization in scoring averaging 21.8 points per game in 32 games for the Raptors.

Quickley will need to be re-signed but that is virtually a lock to happen. He showed that he can be the point guard of the future. Quickley finished the season averaging 18.6 points and 6.8 assists while shooting 39.5 percent from deep in 38 games with the Raptors.

Gradey Dick finished his rookie season strong. After a slow start, Dick turned it up a notch in the second-half of the season. He finished his year averaging 8.4 points on 42.6 percent shooting from the field and 36.9 percent from deep in 59 games for Toronto.

The Raptors will now head into an important offseason to try and turn their fortunes around. It will begin with the 2024 NBA Draft. The Raptors will find out on NBA Draft Lottery night on May 12 if they will keep their 2024 first-round pick or not.

Toronto has a 45.8 percent chance of keeping their pick based on finishing the season with the sixth-worst record in the league.

The Raptors will also have the Indiana Pacers first-round pick via the Siakam trade that will fall between 16-19 and the Detroit Pistons second-round pick via the Anunoby trade which will be No. 31.

The Raptors will return home on April 15 to cleanout their locker room.
