The Toronto Raptors are having one of their worst seasons ever.

The team has their most losses in a season since 2011-12, they have endured a 15-game losing streak and they just finished their second-worst season at home in franchise history.

The Raptors will finish the season with a 14-27 record at home. Their .341 home winning percentage and -6.1 point differential both rank second-worst in franchise history according to TSN’s Josh Lewenberg. The Raptors went 9-32 with a -7.9 point differential in Toronto during their 16-win season in 1997-98.

Darko Rajakovic talked about Raptors fans who have still shown a lot of support to the team during this down year via Sports Illustrated’s Aaron Rose:

“We have the best fans in the league. The amount of support and love that we’re receiving night in, and night out is unmatched.”

The Raptors have gone through major changes this season as they finally embraced a direction. For as bad as this season was, it is all about the future for the Raptors. They are hoping that this rebuild will be a quick turnaround and the team will be back competing sooner rather than later.

The Raptors have their core set with Scottie Barnes, Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett along with rookie Gradey Dick. Toronto will also have up to 3 picks in this upcoming 2024 NBA Draft to add to their young roster.

Rajakovic mentioned that everyone in the Raptors organization is working hard to turn this situation around via Rose:

“It’s been a difficult season. I know one thing, that everybody in this organization is working really really hard to turn this around. They’re all excited by the summer opportunities that we have ahead of us.”

Can the Raptors turn things around soon?

If the Raptors want to turn things around soon they need their young core to continue to develop. They also need a strong draft and offseason this summer.

If things go to plan, Toronto should be in a much better position next season.
