The Toronto Raptors might be on the verge of making franchise history, but not for the way they had intended.

Toronto has now lost 13 games in a row and they are closing in on their franchise-record 17-game losing streak, which they set in 1997.

They are four losses away from matching it and five losses away from breaking it.

Toronto has eight games left on the season and four of their next five games come against teams fighting for playoff/play-in seeding.

The Raptors next matchup will be on April 2 against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers are currently 9th and they are trying to move up the standings to avoid the Play-In Tournament. Therefore, they will be extremely motivated to win this game.

Then the Raptors take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on April 3. The Timberwolves are involved in the race for the no. 1 seed in the West so this will be a must-win for them.

The Raptors are in Milwaukee on April 5 to take on the Bucks. The Bucks are currently trying to clinch the No. 2 seed in the East so they will be looking to win this game.

Then the Raptors have a shot at possibly their last win of the season when they take on the lowly Washington Wizards at home on April 7. This could be the game where the Raptors finally end their losing streak. However, if they lose this game they would match their all-time losing streak at 17 games.

Raptors will then host Pascal Siakam and the Indiana Pacers on April 9. The Pacers will not be a pushover here either. They are in a battle with the Miami Heat for the last playoff spot in the East. This could be the game where the Raptors set a new franchise record with their 18th consecutive loss.

Will the Raptors make history?

If key players remain out for the Raptors then there is a strong chance they could lose their next six games.

The Raptors best chance to break their losing streak will be against the Wizards on April 7.
