The Toronto Raptors keep dropping games.

Toronto lost its 8th game in a row, their longest losing streak of the season. It is the franchise’s longest losing streak since the the 2020-2021 Tampa season.

The Raptors were missing four starters in this one as Immanuel Quickley was out because of personal reasons.

He joined a lengthy list of absentees that also included All-Star forward Scottie Barnes (left hand), center Jakob Poeltl (left pinkie), forward RJ Barrett (personal), forward Chris Boucher (right knee) and guard DJ Carton (right ankle).

The Raptors simply stood no chance against the Kings.

Domantas Sabonis had 13 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists for his NBA-leading 24th triple-double of the season. He also recorded his 51st consecutive double-double.

De’Aaron Fox scored 20 points as the Kings routed the shorthanded Raptors.

Gary Trent Jr. scored 18 points for Toronto and Ochai Agbaji and Jordan Nowra each had 13 for Toronto, who are now 1-9 in March.

The Raptors committed 22 turnovers, leading to 33 points for the Kings.

The Raptors lost another body in this one as center Jontay Porter left after the first quarter because of an illness.

Sacramento led 32-27 after one. Then they exploded and outscored the Raptors 36-18 in the second. Five different Kings players scored in an 11-0 run to end the first half, giving Sacramento a 68-45 advantage at the intermission.

The Kings took a 99-65 edge to the fourth.

The Raptors fell to 13-21 at home, which means they will finish with a losing record on their home court this season.

The Raptors are now tied with the Memphis Grizzlies for the sixth-worst record in the NBA.

With many key players out for the Raptors, expect the loses to continue to pile up for this team.

It does not get any easier for the reeling Raptors. They host the Oklahoma City Thunder on March 22.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will play in front of his hometown crowd as the Thunder look to hold onto to the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.
