Former Raptor DeMar DeRozan had himself quite the night on March 13.

DeRozan first forced overtime with a buzzer-beating shot following a timeout. He then led the Chicago Bulls to a victory over the Indiana Pacers.

He finished with 46 points, tied for his fourth-most in a game ever.

As a result of his scoring heroics he moved past three Hall of Fame players on the all-time NBA scoring list.

DeRozan first passed Los Angeles Lakers legend Elgin Baylor, then Miami Heat icon Dwayne Wade and then he passed Buffalo Brave’s Adrian Dantley who was a six-time all-star with the Utah Jazz.

DeRozan now finds himself 32nd on the all-time scoring list:

DeMar is sixth amongst active players just behind Stephen Curry.

The Toronto Raptors drafted DeRozan back in 2009. He became one of Toronto’s all-time leaders in games played, points, free throws, field goals and minutes before being dealt to the San Antonio Spurs in 2018 in a trade that brought back Kawhi Leonard.

DeRozan is averaging 23.4 points this season and has helped Chicago remain competitive despite their injuries.

DeRozan continues to move up the ranks

In terms of the all-time scoring list, DeRozan probably will not pass Curry who sits ahead of him. However, there are a long list of inactive players who are within reach. He could still pass Robert Parish and Charles Barkley as soon as later this season.

By the time DeRozan retires he could very well crack the top 20 in scoring.

DeRozan will always be remembered as a Raptors legend and it is great to see the 34-year-old still having success in the final stretch of his career.
