The Toronto Raptors have dropped their 5th game in a row. They fall to the lowly Detroit Pistons 113-104.

This is the second time the Raptors have lost to the Pistons this season. The Pistons snapped their 28-game losing streak back on Dec. 30 against Toronto.

The Raptors were once again shorthanded in this one. They were missing four starters as Immanuel Quickley was the only healthy starter in the lineup.

He scored 25 points for Toronto, while adding 8 assists and 5 rebounds.  Former Piston Kelly Olynyk scored 19.

Jalen Duren had a career-high 23 rebounds to go with 24 points and 5 assists. The Pistons have now won 3 of 4 games for the first time in nearly two years.

Detroit trailed by 16 points in the second quarter, but then used a 31-22 third quarter to flip the game around.

Cade Cunningham added 19 points for Detroit, which had six players score in double figures.

Cunningham didn’t play in the fourth quarter, but Pistons coach Monty Williams said it wasn’t health-related.

Toronto had five players finish in double figures as Bruce Brown Jr. had 17, Jordan Nwora had 12 and Jontay Porter had 10 points to go along with 4 blocks from off the bench.

Jahmi’us Ramsey scored his first points as a Raptor this game. He also had a wicked windmill dunk on a fast break:

The Raptors shot it poorly from three (25 percent) and got dominated on the glass 58-37.

“We had 32 assists, but we weren’t able to get enough on the glass,” Raptors coach Darko Rajakovic said. “We allowed too many second-chance points. That was the biggest difference.”

The Pistons had 11 offensive rebounds to the Raptors 3.

With the loss, the Raptors finish their road triple 0-4. Toronto has now lost 7 of their last 8 games.

The Raptors will return home and host the Orlando Magic on March 15.

It will be the first of a mini two-game set against the Magic.
