The Toronto Raptors injury report continues to grow.

Chris Boucher was out against the Denver Nuggets after he suffered a partial MCL tear in his right knee in the game against the Portland Trail Blazers.

He is currently being assessed for treatment. According to Sportsnet’s Michael Grange, he is not expected to require surgery:

Boucher’s  injury happened at the end of regulation against the Blazers. He came down hard after tying the game on a tip-in to force overtime.

Boucher had fallen out of the Raptors rotation but got some playing time during Toronto’s current four-game road trip.

He had a solid outing against the Phoenix Suns on March 7 and then had another nice game on March 9 in Portland.

Boucher had 16 points, 8 rebounds and 3 steals while leading the Raptors to a comeback which fell short in overtime.

In 50 games this season, Boucher is averaging 6.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 0.5 assists.

His future in Toronto is currently up in the air.

He does have one more season under contract with the Raptors, but his lack of playing time suggests Toronto could move on from him sooner rather than later.

Boucher has spent 6 seasons with the Raptors. He is the only player remaining from the 2019 championship team, making him the longest tenured Raptor.

The Raptors will play next on March 13 against the Detroit Pistons.

Darko Rajakovic reveals why Boucher has been kept out of rotation

Recently, Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic explained why Boucher has been out of the Raptors rotation despite his positive contributions to the team.

Boucher has not gotten consistent minutes with the Raptors since the new year.
