The Toronto Raptors’ three-game winning streak comes to an end as they fall to Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.
Luka Doncic had 30 points, 16 assists and 11 rebounds on his 25th birthday. This marked his 11th triple-double of the season.
Kyrie Irving scored 15 of his 29 points in the fourth quarter as the dynamic duo was simply too much for the Raptors.
Doncic is the first player in league history to record a 30-point triple-double on his birthday. He has also scored 25 or more points in 9 straight games.
Doncic got it going in the third quarter as he recorded 11 points, 6 assists and 5 rebounds in the frame.
After a strong first-half the Raptors got outscored by Dallas 40-25 in the third which flipped the game.
Scottie Barnes had 19 points and 11 rebounds for his fifth straight double-double. Immanuel Quickley scored a season-high 28 points on 5 made threes and RJ Barrett had 26 points. This was Toronto’s first lost since the All-Star break.
Six Raptors finished in double-figures as Jakob Poeltl scored 16 points, Kelly Olynyk had 13 and Gary Trent Jr. scored 11.
Raptors rookie Gradey Dick who has been in a groove lately finished with 7 points on 6 shots.
After going down by double digits, the Raptors tried knocking on the door in the fourth but could not get stops.
The Mavericks offense scored 136 points on 54.2 percent shooting from the field.
The Raptors shot it 46.7 percent from the field and 37.1 percent from three.
With the loss the Raptors are now 4.5 games back of the Atlanta Hawks for the final play-in spot in the Eastern Conference.

Toronto will now get set to take on another Western Conference team that has been playing well. The Golden State Warriors come to town on March 1.
Golden State has won 8 of their last 10 games and they are currently trying to move up in the Western Conference play-in race.
The last time the Raptors and Warriors met, Toronto blew them out 133-118.
