Hawks head coach Quin Snyder was ejected with 4:25 remaining in the second quarter. He was heated and stormed the court after Trae Young appeared to injure his right thigh fighting through a screen set by Poeltl.
The Hawks were able to make it a game late in the fourth quarter but then Gary Trent Jr. hit a clutch triple with less than two minutes. Toronto then played some solid defense to closeout the win.
Gary Trent Jr. did a great job defensively all night on Young who shot it 4-13 from the field for 13 points.
The Raptors were missing guard R.J. Barrett who sat out the second night of the back-to-back to rest his left knee. Jordan Nwora got the start for him.
The Raptors bench was the difference maker in this game. They combined to score 54 points.
Gradey Dick had a magnificent outing scoring 18 points on 8-13 shooting. Meanwhile, fellow Kansas Jayhawk Ochai Agbaji scored 14 points on 4-5 shooting from deep.
The veterans also produced. Bruce Brown Jr. scored 12 points and Kelly Olynyk had 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists.
