Toronto Raptors forward Scottie Barnes was looking to help Team All-Stars win the 2024 Kia Skills Challenge.

He was paired with Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey and Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young.

They were up against Team Top Picks (Victory Wembanyama, Anthony Edward and Paolo Banchero) and Team Pacers (Tyrese Haliburton, Benedict Mathurin, and Myles Turner).

In the first round of the skills challenge, Barnes got off to a rocky start as he lost the ball after dribbling it off his leg. However, he was able to recover nicely connecting on his first three-point shot attempt and finished up the obstacle strong . He, Young, and Maxey put up a time of 1:18 in the first round and beat Team Top Picks.

But Team Pacers were able to easily beat Barnes and Team All-Stars as they won the first round. They got 100 points and had an early lead in the skills challenge.

Then came the passing challenge. Barnes had a strong showing and  Team All-Stars ended up scoring 74 points.

Team Top Picks only scored 58 points and then Team Pacers tied Team All-Stars’ score of 74.

So we went to a tiebreaker.

Team All-Stars scored 90 points in the tiebreaker round, but Team Pacers scored an outstanding 92 points to win the challenge.

The final challenge was team shooting. Barnes led Team All-Stars to a score of 33 points in the first round by going 4-4 from deep:

They beat out Team Top Picks (19 points) and Team Pacers (20 points).

With the win Team All-Stars tied Team Pacers overall score 200-200 so we went to a tiebreaker to determine the winner of the skills challenge.

The tiebreaker was going to be decided on a half-court shot competition. Barnes decided to have some fun with it:

It took Team All-Stars 58.8 seconds to hit a half-court shot, which was made by Maxey.

Team Pacers win skills challenge

Team Pacers ended up beating that time thanks to hometown superstar Haliburton nailing the half-court shot.

They win the 2024 Kia Skills Challenge.
