The Toronto Raptors have made their trade deadline deals official.

The Raptors have acquired Kelly Olynyk and Ochai Agbaji from the Utah Jazz in exchange for Kira Lewis Jr., Otto Porter Jr. and a 2024 first round draft pick.

Agbaji is a former 14th overall pick. He is averaging 5.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 19.7 minutes in 51 games (10 starts) this season. He is shooting 42.6 percent from the field and has scored in double figures eight times. Agbaji scored a season-high 21 points on Dec. 6 at Dallas:

Olynyk is a native of Toronto. He owns career averages of 10.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 22.5 minutes in 728 contests (242 starts) with the Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, Houston Rockets, Detroit Pistons and Jazz. He will be a valuable veteran on the Raptors roster:

Toronto also announced that they have acquired Spencer Dinwiddie from the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Dennis Schröder and Thaddeus Young. In a corresponding move, the Raptors have waived Dinwiddie:

As a result of the trades the Raptors now have 2 open spots and they will need to fill 1 of them to meet the minimum roster requirement. The Raptors can sign somebody to a regular NBA deal, a 10-day or convert 1 of their two-way players in Jontay Porter, Markquis Nowell or Javon Freeman-Liberty.

Raptors don’t trade Bruce Brown

One Raptors player who was in a ton of trade rumors leading up to the trade deadline was Bruce Brown. The Raptors decided not to pull the trigger on a trade and will hold onto him for now.

Toronto’s GM Bobby Webster said that Brown would have been moved if they got the right offer, but they did not.

Brown has a $23 million team option on his 2024-25 contract so it gives the Raptors options in the offseason.
