The NBA Trade Deadline is less than a week away.
The Toronto Raptors already did their heavy lifting with trades, sending O.G. Anunoby to the New York Knicks and Pascal Siakam to the Indiana Pacers.
However, Toronto could look to make even more moves and try to acquire more assets for their future.
According to TSN’s Josh Lewenberg, the Raptors could be ‘open for business’ ahead of the trade deadline. The only untouchables on the Raptors roster are Scottie Barnes, Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett.
Therefore, many of the players on Toronto’s roster could be moved. Names like Gary Trent Jr., Chris Boucher, Dennis Schroder and Jakob Poeltl have all come up in trade rumors.
Another name that has been prominently discussed on the rumor mill is Bruce Brown Jr. The Rapors acquired him in the Siakam trade. As soon as Brown was acquired it was speculated if the Raptors would move on from him.
The 27-year-old doesn’t fit the Raptors timeline and he could bring in good value for a Toronto team that is rebuilding.
Brown has been linked to a lot of teams and he reportedly has significant interest on the trade market.
A new team has emerged in the Brown rumors and that is the Philadelphia 76ers.
According to Sam Amico of Hoops Wire, he said that the 76ers remain interested in Brown and are believed to be floating the names of Tobias Harris and Kelly Oubre in trade talks with Toronto and multiple others.
The 76ers could look to get aggressive and add a veteran to help their playoff chances. Brown would be a great fit on almost every contending team.
NBA insider shares trade update on Brown
Adrian Wojnarowski recently provided an update on the Brown trade talks on his weekly Threads chat.
Wojnarowski says that the Raptors are fielding offers for Brown who has a lot of interest, but there’s no rush to trade him.
