Bruce Brown has been getting a lot of interest since he got traded to the Toronto Raptors in the Pascal Siakam blockbuster deal.
A player of Brown’s calibre can easily fit on any team and immediately help them in a playoff push or run.
With the trade deadline looming, there could be a Brown sweepstakes that ends up taking place.
The Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks have already been linked to Brown. Now two more teams enter the fold.
According to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto and Yahoo Sports’ Jake Fischer the Dallas Mavericks and Milwaukee Bucks are two more teams that have interest in Brown.
The Mavericks were linked to Siakam, so maybe they give the Raptors a call for Brown. He would be the perfect type of role player to compliment Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. The Mavericks could be looking to bolster their roster ahead of the playoffs.
Meanwhile, the Bucks have recently gone through a significant head coaching change dismissing Adrian Griffin and hiring Doc Rivers. Milwaukee is clearly serious about winning a title this season so acquiring another veteran presence like Brown for their bench would be helpful in a playoff run.
It’s going to come down to which team will give the Raptors the best offer. Toronto’s asking price for Brown is reportedly and a first-round pick and a quality player.
Toronto is in a rebuild so they are interested in collecting assets at this point. While Brown is talented and can help the Raptors win, he doesn’t fit their timeline.
Therefore, it makes sense for the Raptors to exhaust all options and cash in on a deal for Brown.
Who else will the Raptors trade?
The Raptors could look to trade away many of the veteran players on their team.
The Raptors have made it clear that they are developing their young players and are building for the future so there could be a fire sale in Toronto.
