RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley made their return to New York as the Raptors took on the Knicks for the third time this season.

The Raptors fought hard in the first half and this looked like it was going to be a game. However, the Knicks then outscored the Raptors 33-21 in the third quarter to take full control.

The Knicks led by as many as 28 points on route to the 126-100 blowout win.

Barrett had 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Quickley finished with 12 points and 11 assists. Both players came into this one fired up to play against their former team.

Scottie Barnes struggled in this one. He never got his offense going as he finished with 9 points on 4-14 shooting.

The Raptors got dominated on the glass in the loss. They got out out-rebounded 61-31.

Toronto shot it 41 percent from the field and 32 percent from three. They couldn’t keep up with the Knicks’ firepower.

Despite the loss, the bright spot in this one was that Gradey Dick played well. He played in 16 minutes and finished with 11 points on 4-7 shooting from the field. He hit three triples. In a rebuilding situation it’s nice to see Dick get more minutes.

Jalen Brunson led all scorers with 38 points. Julius Randle chipped in with 18 and former Raptor O.G. Anunoby finished with 14 points and 7 rebounds.

Anunoby was a +20 and he did a good job defending his former teammate Barnes when he was tasked to guard him.

Precious Achiuwa had arguably his best game of the season against his former team. Achiuwa had 18 points and 11 rebounds.

The Raptors fall to the Knicks for the third time this season and they are now 0-11 against the Atlantic Division. As the Raptors transition into a rebuild, there are certainly going to be a lot of growing pains.

The Raptors now return home and will look to get back in the win column when they take on the Memphis Grizzlies on Jan. 22.
