Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam is becoming a hot commodity as the trade deadline approaches.

Toronto is looking to pivot as a franchise after some down seasons since winning a championship in 2019. O.G. Anunoby was the first domino as he was traded to the New York Knicks.

The youth movement is here for the Raptors and it seems that the organization is embracing that idea. Siakam is the last player to trade for Toronto to fully enter a new era as a team.

Siakam has been in a lot of rumors as of late as many playoff teams are interested. The Dallas Mavericks have been a team making a push for the forward.

According to Yahoo Sports’ Jake Fischer, both Toronto and Dallas have had talks over Siakam:

“I know there are absolutely people in Dallas who really think Pascal is a missing piece that could potentially pair with Luka [Doncic] and Kyrie Irving and all of a sudden you look up and the Mavericks off are a legitimate contender in the West.”

It would be interesting to see what the Mavericks trade package would look like in a Siakam deal. With the Raptors wanting young talent, Josh Green and Jaden Hardy are the two of the younger players on Dallas’ roster.

If the Mavericks were able to pull off a trade for Siakam, it would certainly add more offensive firepower to their team. Doncic would be able to flourish with Irving and Siakam, while still having the likes of Tim Hardaway Jr. and Grant Williams.

Hardy is 21-years-old, but has shown the upside of becoming a microwave scorer, which could be useful alongside Scottie Barnes, Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett. Green has the making of a 3-and-D guard, who has shown value the past two seasons.

Toronto wants Bennedict Mathurin or Jarace Walker in any trade with Pacers involving Pascal Siakam

There are going to be a lot of interested teams in Siakam as the trade deadline approaches. The Indiana Pacers are one of those teams, who are expected to be aggressive in their pursuit.

Toronto wants Bennedict Mathurin or Jarace Walker in any deal with Indiana. However, Indiana could simply wait and try to sign Siakam when he hits unrestricted free agency this summer.
