The Toronto Raptors will play in the final game of their six-game west coast trip in Utah to take on the surging Jazz.
The Jazz have been one of the hottest teams in the NBA, winning 9 of their last 11 games. This hot stretch of play from Utah actually started when the Jazz overcame a 17-point deficit to beat the Raptors back on Dec. 23.
Utah is coming off three straight wins over the Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks and Denver Nuggets.
Therefore, the Raptors are going to have their work cut out for them in this game.
Toronto is currently 2-3 on the west coast trip coming off back-to-back loses against the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers.
Despite the loses, the Raptors have been playing well and their newcomers Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett have been flourishing.
Quickley had 25 points, 6 assists and 4 rebounds. While Barrett had 24 points, 4 assists and 5 rebounds as the shorthanded Raptors kept it close against the Clippers.
The Raptors will be shorthanded for this game as well. Jakob Poeltl (left ankle) and Christian Koloko (respiratory issue) remain out and will be out indefinitely for the Raptors.
Otto Porter Jr. is listed as doubtful with a right knee sprain and Pascal Siakam has been listed as questionable with back spasms. He missed the Raptors game against the Clippers.
Meanwhile, the Jazz are fully healthy as no one has popped up on their injury report.
This will be a tough game for the Raptors especially if they don’t have Siakam in the lineup.
