Pascal Siakam continues to be in trade rumors.

It seems like the Raptors are going to move on from the two-time All-Star and officially enter a new era.

There have been many potential suitors linked to Siakam so far. The Golden State Warriors are a team that has recently popped up in the Siakam trade rumors.

A hypothetical trade that has been floating around is a deal involving Siakam and Jonathan Kuminga.

Paul George recently weighed in on the trade idea on his podcast, Podcast P with Paul George and he said that a Kuminga and Siakam trade is a win-win for both teams:

“I saw them put in Pascal and Kuminga in a trade and I thought about it and I was like that’s a win for both sides…He (Siakam) can be a number 1 option but that’s not where he’s the best at. I think him being the second, third option is where he can really shine because he’s a guy that can do a little bit of everything. And I think it works perfectly playing with Steph (Curry), playing with Klay (Thompson). They spread the floor, he can rebound, he can playmake. Then Kuminga coming into his own. Toronto’s kind of in this rebuild but ready to get better and win now…they just traded for RJ (Barrett), (Immanuel) Quickley…they have Scottie Barnes there now. Then you add another young guy like Kuminga, that could be a fun team for years to come.”

A potential Raptors-Warriors trade

For the trade to happen the Warriors would need to add Andrew Wiggins or Chris Paul to make the salary work.

However, it’s been recently reported by Sportsnet’s Michael Grange that the Warriors are unwilling to include Kuminga in a deal for Siakam.

It’ll be interesting to see how things play out for the Raptors over the next couple of weeks. Toronto traded O.G. Anunoby and now they could look to trade Siakam too before the trade deadline.
