The Toronto Raptors went into Chase Center and blew out the Golden State Warriors 133-118.

Toronto never trailed in the game. The Raptors went ahead 7-0, as they made their initial three shots, and shot 16-25 to begin the game to take a 36-28 lead after the first quarter.

Then Toronto exploded for 40 points in the second quarter and extended their lead to 27 at halftime.

The Warriors got it down to 9 in the third but then the Raptors responded on their way to the dominant win.

Leading the way for the Raptors was RJ Barrett who was on fire in this one. Barrett finished with a game-high 37 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists on 13-20 from the field and 5-8 from three.

Immanuel Quickley had 9 points, 10 assists and 5 rebounds. He had 9 assists in the first half alone.

Pascal Siakam who was in a ton of trade rumors this past weekend finished with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.

Scottie Barnes had his worst offensive game of the season finishing with only 6 points on 3-11 shooting and 0-4 from three. However, his defensive effort on Stephen Curry was great.

Curry had one of his worst games of his career scoring 9 points on 2-14 from the field and 0-9 from three.

Klay Thompson led all Warriors scorers with 25 and Moses Moody had 21 from off the bench.

Meanwhile, the Raptors bench play was awesome and deserves a lot of credit in this one. Especially Chris Boucher who scored 17 points on a perfect 7-7 shooting night. Dennis Schroder had 13 points and Gary Trent Jr. had 14.

Toronto shot the ball well from the field at 58.5 percent and from deep at 45.5. percent. They dominated the points in the paint with 66 and had 38 assists on 55 field goals made.

The new-look Raptors have now won 3 of their last 4 games and are starting to develop winning habits.

Next on tap

The Raptors travel to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers on Jan. 9. Then they will take on the Clippers on Jan. 10.

This will be a tough back-to-back for Toronto.
