Raptors Vs. Warriors Preview: West Coast Trip Continues

A lot has changed since the last time the Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors squared off in their 2019 NBA Finals matchup.

The Warriors for the most part look the same with their trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green still in tact.

However, the Raptors look a lot different. Chris Boucher and Pascal Siakam are the only two players left from Toronto’s  2019 championship winning team.

This game will be played in the mists of a lot of trade rumors surrounding Siakam. The Warriors were recently linked to Siakam, but then it was reported that Golden State wouldn’t be willing to including Jonathan Kuminga in a potential Siakam deal.

All of the trade rumors aside, both teams will be looking for the win. The Raptors are having a rough season at 14-21 but they have been playing a lot better since making the O.G. Anunoby trade. The new-look Raptors are 2-1 since bringing in RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley.

Meanwhile, the Warriors are having an up and down season. The team sits at 17-18 and hold the last play-in spot in the Western Conference.

The Warriors will be getting Green back into the mix. He was recently reinstated by the NBA after a 12-game suspension.

But he is out against the Raptors with “return to play reconditioning.” Chris Paul and Gary Payton II will be out as well. Jonathan Kuminga is questionable with a toe strain.

For the Raptors Gary Trent Jr. is questionable but he is expected to play. Otto Porter Jr. and Christian Koloko both remain out.

The Raptors look to get back on track against the Warriors at Chase Center.
