With the trade deadline nearly a month away, trade rumors are ramping up.

Specifically for Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam. He faces another round of trade rumors as he is seemingly the only Raptor left to move.

With O.G. Anunoby being traded to the New York Knicks, it seems like it’s only a matter of time until Siakam is moved.

Executives are beginning to see where their team is at and what aspects need improvement. Siakam, who is a capable scorer at the four position can help many playoff-ready teams.

According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, Siakam is garnering a lot of interest, with as many as 10 teams interested in the forward’s services:

“Toronto officials have suggested to inquiring front offices as many as 10 teams hold legitimate interest in Siakam, sources said.”

Fischer goes on to mention teams like the Indiana Pacers, Sacramento Kings, Detroit Pistons, Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers are all interested in Siakam.

However, it was rumored that the Kings pulled out of their pursuit of the Raptors forward, but trade talks are fluid.

It seems that Siakam is in hot demand, especially for playoff teams that are looking to get over the hump. It would be intriguing to see which team intensifies their pursuit.

The teams that make the most sense would be the Pacers and Kings since there would be more on ball opportunities for Siakam. The Mavericks and 76ers have their two, ball-dominant stars and it would be hard to see Siakam fitting in.

Specifically for the Pacers with Tyrese Haliburton, he’d be able to find the forward in his spots and make sure he gets his shots up. Additionally, Indiana has the draft capital and young players that Toronto would want in a deal.

As the deadline approaches, with more teams being interested, it seems Siakam may be moved sooner rather than later.

NBA insider links Warriors to Siakam

The noise around Siakam is only growing to grow ahead of Feb. 8. Another team could enter the mix is the Golden State Warriors.
