The Toronto Raptors already find themselves in the mists of trade rumors before the end of the year.
Toronto is 11-18 and their season is beginning to slip away.
If feels like this team is a couple of more bad loses away from officially blowing it up and entering a rebuild around Scottie Barnes.
Pascal Siakam and O.G. Anunoby are two names to keep an eye one. Both players are set to become unrestricted free agents next summer and have already gotten a lot of interest on the trade market.
Zack Buckley of Bleacher Report recently wrote an article speculating some trade ideas involving the Raptors’ two top trade targets.
In the first trade idea, Buckley has Anunoby going to the Memphis Grizzlies:
OG Anunoby to the Memphis Grizzlies for Luke Kennard, Ziaire Williams, a 2024 first-round pick (via MEM, WAS or PHO), a 2026 first-round pick (top-five-protected) and a 2028 first-round pick.
The Grizzlies could look to salvage their season after the return on Ja Morant and add one of the best 3-And-D talents in the league. Meanwhile, the Raptors would get draft assets in return.
The Grizzlies have been linked to Anunoby in the past, so maybe these two teams can strike a deal before the deadline.
The second trade idea proposed by Buckley is Siakam going to the Indiana Pacers:
Pascal Siakam to the Indiana Pacers for Buddy Hield, T.J. McConnell, Obi Toppin, a 2026 first-round pick (top-four protected), a 2027 second-round pick (via UTA) and a 2028 second-round pick (via DAL)
This trade makes sense because Siakam would give the Pacers an All-Star calibre player to pair next to Tyrese Haliburton. The Pacers who did some damage in the Play-In Tournament could be looking to take the next step.
Meanwhile, the Raptors would get back some much needed shooting in Hield, a young player in Toppin and draft assets.
