The Toronto Raptors are adding some size to their roster.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Raptors have signed forward free agent forward Jontay Porter.
Porter has been playing for the Motor City Cruise in the G League. He is averaging 16.8 points and 10.7 rebounds in 10 games so far this season:
Free agent F/C Jontay Porter is signing a two-way contract with the Toronto Raptors, Andy Shiffman and Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tell ESPN. Porter — who spent a season with the Memphis Grizzlies — has been playing with Detroit’s G League franchise.

The deal is a two-way contract, which means that Porter can play in the NBA and the G League.
Porter is 6-foot-10 but he has been able to hit the three. He’s hitting almost two three-pointers per game in the G League this season. He’s shooting the three 27.3 percent but last year, he made 2.5 three-pointers per game on 41 percent shooting from deep.
The move for the Raptors comes after the team waived Ron Harper Jr. which opened up the spot:
The Raptors say they have waived two-way guard-forward Ron Harper Jr. Harper will undergo season-ending surgery next week after sustaining a subluxation of the left shoulder while with Raptors 905 in a game Dec. 7 at Long Island.

Harper Jr. was cut after injuring his shoulder in a recent Raptors 905 game and will need surgery.
Porter played in 11 NBA games for the Memphis Grizzlies last season. He averaged 2 points in 4.9 minutes.
He is the younger brother of Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr.
Porter was not picked in the 2019 NBA Draft after tearing his ACL twice during his college days at Missouri.
Next up for Raptors
The Raptors will have two days off before they take on the New York Knicks. Toronto will look to end their three-game losing streak.
The last time these two teams played was on Dec. 1 when the Raptors lost to the Knicks 119-106.
