Scottie Barnes had a terrific performance in the Toronto Raptors loss against the Charlotte Hornets.

Barnes did all he could as the Raptors’ 20 point comeback came up short.

He had 31 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists on 12-18 shooting:

Barnes becomes the youngest player in Raptors franchise history with a 30-point triple-double. Barnes’ triple-double is the third of his career and second this season.

After a slow start Barnes came alive in the second-half and fourth quarter. He had a chance to tie the game late from the free-throw line but missed one free throw.

Then Barnes missed a shot at the buzzer that looked like it would have sent the game into overtime had it gone down. However, after the game, it was determined that Barnes’ foot was on the line, making it a 2-point attempt.

Barnes made 3 of the Raptors 6 total threes in this game.

Barnes continues to shine in a rocky season for the Raptors. The third year player is taking a leap and showing why he’s the next building block of this franchise.

He bounced back in a big way in Charlotte after he had a poor shooting night against the Miami Heat.

For the season Barnes is averaging 19.8 points, 9.2 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.7 steals, 1.3 blocks on 46.8 percent shooting from the field and 38.3 percent shooting from three.

There are a lot of questions about the Raptors future and if major trades will be made this season. However, one player that isn’t going anywhere is Barnes.

Everyone around the league is keeping an eye on Toronto’s roster

The Raptors could be the biggest domino at the trade deadline. The Raptors are currently 9-13 and 11th in the Easter Conference.

According to Shams Charania, everyone in the league is keeping an eye on the Raptors roster. The only untouchable on the Raptors roster right now is Barnes.
