Gradey Dick didn’t have the kind of start he was hoping for through the first 15 games of his NBA career.
The 20-year-old struggled with his shot and couldn’t find any sense of rhythm.
The Raptors sent Dick down to Raptors 905 in hopes that he would find his footing.
The first couple of games in the G League didn’t go to plan for Dick, but now the sharpshooter appears to be turning things around.
Dick had a standout game on Nov. 6 with the 905 as he led the team with 23 points. He was 7-15 from the field and made 3 of his 7 three-pointers. Dick had a couple of nice highlight plays in the game as well:

Head coach Darko Rajakovic spoke about Dick’s time with the 905 thus far:
My priority right now is for him finding that rhythm, playing heavy minutes, helping the team over there, getting a swag, getting confidence in playing. That’s this absolute priority right now. Those minutes, they (have) value a lot for him. He’s enjoying (being) over there, being with the team. So it’s great for him to be on assignment.”
Right now there is no timeline for when Dick will be back with the Toronto Raptors. However, Dick putting together these nice outings will further boost his confidence and make his return back to the NBA feel seamless.
The No. 13 overall pick just needs to continue to build some momentum. Dick is now 7-14 from three over his past two games and 48% from the field overall. That’s something that Rajakovic and the Raptors want to see more of.
Dick is averaging 3.9 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1 assist in 14.7 minutes with the Raptors this season.
Dick denies that his shot has changed
There was some speculation that Dick changed his shot from college. Former Raptors player Sam Dekker raised this question on X.
However, Dick denied that his shot has changed which is reassuring for fans.
