Knicks Vs. Raptors Preview: Battle On The Court

The Toronto Raptors get set to host the New York Knicks. This will be the first meeting between the two teams this season.

While there’s still an on-going legal battle happening between both sides, this battle will take place on the basketball court.

New York filed a lawsuit against the Raptors in August for the alleged theft of proprietary information by a former team employee.

The Raptors look to capitalize off their massive win over the Phoenix Suns. Toronto ended the Suns 7-game winning steak and they did it with their defensive effort.

Both Scottie Barnes and O.G. Anunoby made things difficult for the Suns’ two best offensive weapons in Kevin Durant and Devin Booker.

Speaking of Barnes, he turned in another special performance. He scored 12 points in the fourth quarter on his way to finishing with a team-high 23 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks.

Pascal Siakam had 22 points and Dennis Schroder had a season-high 12 assists.

The New York Knicks come into this matchup fresh off a victory over the lowly Detroit Pistons. The matchup was a lot closer than the Knicks would have liked, but they still managed to come away with the six point win.

This will be the Knicks fifth back-to-back set of the season.

Both teams will get a nice little break after this matchup due to the In-Season Tournament Quarterfinals starting, so picking up a win here will be crucial for both sides.

This will be the first of four meetings between the Knicks and Raptors this season with a rematch set for Dec. 11 in New York.

The Raptors have won three of four meetings against the Knicks in each of the last two seasons.
