Throughout the past couple of years, the Raptors have had success with their OVO jerseys with some variations and tweaks. But, now there is some new Raptors apparel releasing in the near future.
Toronto has unveiled a Bruce Lee-inspired collection making for a clean and sleek design.
The Raptors are in collaboration with Mitchell and Ness, the Bruce Lee Foundation and the Canadian Chinese Youth Athletic Association (CCYAA) when making this idea come to life. This new line of apparel was inspired by Lee, the martial arts legend.
The collection will be launched on Nov. 29 at 12:30 p.m ET and will be available both in-store at Real Sports and online. The CCYAA teased the partnership on their Instagram with a video titled ‘#EnterTheRaptor,’ in recognition of Lee’s 1973 film Enter the Dragon.
In addition to the in-person and online release, Olivia Cheng and Chelsea Muirhead of the HBO show Warrior will be hosting a meet and greet. They will be at the Scotiabank Arena location of Real Sports on Nov. 29 at 6:45 p.m. ET.
The CCYAA is no stranger to collaborating with the basketball world. They have run several youth programs throughout Toronto, also hosting an annual celebrity basketball game that has featured Simu Liu and former Raptors guard Jeremy Lin, a member of the 2019 championship team.
Also, this isn’t the CCYAA’s first time collaborating with the Raptors. The association teamed up with Mitchell and Ness previously for shirts that featured the Vancouver Grizzlies and Raptors. Shirts that feature each mascot of each team drinking boba tea as the design on the front.
