Coming off their worst performance of the season against the Orlando Magic, the Raptors win a wild shootout in Indiana.
The Raptors beat the Pacers 132-131 in a game that featured little to no defense. Toronto started the game trailing 26-11, which marked the eight time in their last ten games that they had faced a double-digit deficit.
The Raptors managed to come back as they scored 41 points in the second quarter to take the lead going into halftime.
Toronto went on to barely escape with the win as the end of this game was pure chaos. Gary Trent Jr. missed both free throws and then Buddy Hield had a wide open look from three which would have won the game but his shot rimmed out.
The Raptors beat the Pacers at their own game this one. They scored 132 points on 53 percent shooting from the field and 41 percent shooting from three in a game that featured 26 lead changes.
Leading the way for the Raptors was Pascal Siakam who had his best game of the season. Siakam had 36 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Scottie Barnes chipped in with 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Barnes had the game-winning And-1 dunk on a beautifully designed play by Darko Rajakovic out of a timeout.
Dennis Schroder was once again brilliant as he scored 26 points. However, Malachi Flynn was arguably the most important Raptor in this win. A night after the Raptors bench came out flat, Flynn provided the much needed boost from the second unit. Flynn led all bench scorers with 14 points. It was his best outing of the season and it could not have come at a better time for Toronto.
You never know what you’re going to get from this Raptors team. After a demoralizing defeat, they follow it up with a solid win on the road against a good Pacers team. The Raptors are now 7-8 and after 15 games this team is very tough to predict.
