Pascal Siakam single-handedly carried the Toronto Raptors to victory against the Washington Wizards.

Siakam finished with a game-high 39 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. He exploded in the second-half scoring 29 of his 39 in the final 24 minutes of the game.

He also hit the go-ahead bucket, which ended up being the game winner with 7 seconds left.

Siakam saved the Raptors when it looked like they were about to suffer their worst loss of the season.

After the game Siakam spoke about his 29 points in the second-half and sparking Toronto’s comeback win:

Siakam on his 29pt 2nd half & sparking Toronto’s comeback win: “One thing I was trying to tell everyone is you cant get it all back at once…. Instead of getting on them about a mistake, its (about) encouraging them. Thats what Im trying to do, encourage everyone & bring energy” pic.twitter.com/OrzPZT1BNa

Siakam showed great leadership in this one. He was able to stay motivated and also spark his teammates down the stretch.

The Raptors have now completed two wild comebacks in a month. Scottie Barnes led the Raptors to a 22-point comeback win on the road against the San Antonio Spurs on Nov 5. and now Siakam leads the Raptors to a 23-point comeback win at home against the Wizards.

Siakam for the season is now averaging 19.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game. Siakam’s shooting it 46.6 percent from the field, but only 24.5 percent from three.

The three point shot has not fallen for Siakam. He is now 1 for his last 20 from deep.

He recognized that he wasn’t getting the outside shot to fall against the Wizards so he instead took it to the paint. Siakam scored 30 of his 39 points in the paint.

Siakam looks for another strong peformance vs Bucks

The Raptors are hoping they get off to a much better start against the Milwaukee Bucks on Nov. 15. The last time the Raptors hosted the Bucks they won in convincing fashion. Siakam had a game-high 26 points in that contest.

Raptors are going to need another strong performance from Siakam against what’s sure to be a more focused Bucks squad.
