The Toronto Raptors overcame a 22-point deficit to defeat the San Antonio Spurs 123-116.

After a slow start in the first-half, Scottie Barnes took over in the fourth quarter. Barnes had 17 points in the frame. He had a vicious dunk over Jeremy Sochan and hit some clutch threes, including one to tie up the game with less than a minute left.

Barnes showed off his star potential in this game. He finished with 30 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, 3 blocks and had 5 three-pointers made.

He’s gotten off to a great start this season scoring 20+ points in 6 straight games. Barnes is taking a massive leap in his third season.

Barnes wasn’t the only one who was big for Toronto. Dennis Schroder who was the Raptors lone bright spot in the first-half had 24 points and 6 assists. He continues to look comfortable as the starting point guard.

Jakob Poeltl put up a nice outing against his former team. He finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

O.G. Anunoby had a solid game as well. He finished with 24 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and had 7 three-pointers made which is his career high. He also scored the game tying bucket in the dying seconds of regulation to force overtime. Anunoby also worked his tail off defensively as he was tasked with guarding Victor Wembanyama for most of the game.

Wembanyama finished 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Keldon Johnson led all Spurs scorers with 26 points.

The Raptors found a way to win this game when it looked like they were going to get blown out. The Raptors were down by 19 at halftime and turned this game around in the fourth.

Pascal Siakam once again had a rough outing. He scored just 8 points, but did hit a clutch three in overtime.

Toronto didn’t get much bench production in this one, but Otto Porter Jr. came up big in some pivotal  minutes.

This is a big win for the Raptors as they now look to build off this momentum moving forward.

Next up for the Raptors

The Raptors will have a few days off and then they will take on Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks on Nov. 8.

The Raptors are in the mists of a 4-game road swing.
