The Toronto Raptors are looking to bounce back after a road loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday.

Currently standing at a 2-4 record, the Raptors continue their road trip. They will take on the No. 1 pick Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs.

The Spurs are coming off two straight road wins against the Phoenix Suns.

On Thursday, San Antonio led by as much as 27 points before the Suns would tie the game midway through the fourth quarter. Wembanyama would score 10 of his 38 points in a push to close the door on the Suns in an eventual 132-121 Spurs victory.

The No. 1 pick out of France snagged 10 rebounds to accompany his 38 points. Zach Collins contributed 19 points, Devin Vassell put in 17 and Jeremy Sochan chipped in 14 points.

San Antonio is coming off a hot shooting game, shooting 52% from the field and 18-for-37 from 3.

Toronto is coming their loss against the 76ers, recently losing 114-99 on Tuesday in Philadelphia.

Now third-year player, Scottie Barnes led the Raptors with 24 points,. He’s the first player in Raptors history age 22 or younger to score 20 points in five straight games since Chris Bosh in 2007.

O.G. Anunoby chipped in 16 points for Toronto and guard Dennis Schroder had 13 points and 10 assists. Pascal Siakam had a lackluster 10 points in the loss.

The Raptors have lost four of their past five games and are 0-2 on the road. Sunday’s matchup is the second of a four-game road trip for the Raptors. The final games being against the Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics.

However, Toronto has won five straight against the Spurs.

Plus, the Raptors handed San Antonio their worst loss of the 2022-23 season in a 143-100 in November 2022.

Patrick Beverley triples down on his ‘no dogs’ comment about the Raptors

76ers guard Patrick Beverley is no stranger to his sly comments and being an antagonist for many fan bases.

Beverley made comments about Toronto having ‘no dogs’ on the team.

After two matchups with the Raptors, he has now tripled down on those comments.
