The Toronto Raptors and Chicago Bulls played in a roller coaster of a game on Friday night. The Raptors ultimately lost 104-103 in overtime.
Toronto got off to a 14-2 start and the Bulls responded with a 40-9 run. Then the Raptors countered with a 62-29 run.
It was a game to forget, as the Raptors lost a 17 point lead with five minutes to play. Chicago would end regulation on a 22-5 burst to send the game to overtime.
Scottie Barnes was the one positive coming out of this debacle. He finished with 22 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists and 2 blocks. Thus, recording his second triple-double of his young career.
The young forward is now a PlayStation influencer, which is a program that brings together notable names to celebrate their passion for gaming and PlayStation.
When Barnes decides to game, his game of choice is NBA 2K:
“I’m high-level competitive when I’m on the floor. My friends all know how I am on the court, but I’m really intense when I’m playing NBA 2K as well.”
This program allows for celebrities to give fans early looks and behind-the-scenes access to games. Barnes connects with fans on Twitch livestreams, when he has downtime during the season. The 22-year-old has been an avid NBA 2K player for six or seven years and now he is in the game.
Many Raptors fans expect a breakout season this year from Barnes and that’ll result in his player rating to increase. He is currently an 83 overall in 2K24.
O.G. Anunoby’s status revealed for game against 76ers
As if the loss versus the Bulls couldn’t get worse, O.G. Anunoby left the game with muscle cramps.
He did not return to Friday’s game and the cramps effected his status for Saturday’s home game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Anunoby was questionable hours before the Raptors matchup against the 76ers and then he was ruled out before tipoff. Raptors didn’t want to rush O.G. back on the second night of a back-to-back. Gary Trent Jr. got that start in his place.
