Scottie Barnes exited the Raptors final preseason game with what the team called a sprained right foot.

The injury was the only negative from the Raptors’ perfect preseason and there was fear that Barnes would have to miss some time.

However, whatever concern there is about Barnes’ injury entering this season can be put to rest.

Barnes addressed the injury and said he’s fine:

Scottie Barnes said his injury was just a tweak and that he’s fine.

According to Sports Illustrated’s Aaron Rose, Barnes was a full participant in the team’s practice and was not wearing any sort of brace or tape on his ankle.

This is great news since Barnes has a history with sprained ankles. It seems like Barnes will be ready to go when the Raptors begin their regular season against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Oct. 25.

Barnes was tremendous for the Raptors during the preseason on both sides. Barnes looks a lot more confident, aggressive and his shot looks a lot better entering this season. He was very efficient from the field and from deep in the Raptors’ four preseason games.

The 22-year-old is hoping to take the next step and help Toronto exceed expectations this season.

Raptors sign Omari Moore for 905 squad

The Raptors have announced that they have signed guard Omari Moore to an Exhibit 10 contract:

The Raptors will sign and waive Omari Moore as their final Exhibit 10 for the 905.

They’ll incur a small cap penalty for doing this today Vs earlier in camp.

Since Moore is on an Exhibit 10 contract he will be waived and will join the Raptors 905 for this season.

This was the Raptors’ final Exhibit 10 contract ahead of the 2023-24 season.

Moore was signed to a two-way deal with the Milwaukee Bucks earlier in the offseason but he was waived by the Bucks earlier in the week.

He played with Milwaukee during Summer League, averaging 2.6 points and 2.4 rebounds in 11.6 minutes per contest.
