The Raptors have announced that they have signed former 10th overall pick Justise Winslow.

To make room for Winslow, Toronto waived Makur Maker.

Maker is expected to join the Raptors 905 if he clears:

The raptors have waived Makur Maker, who will be 905-bound.

They have also signed Justise Winslow.

According to Sportsnet’s Blake Murphy, Winslow’s deal is an Exhibit 10 deal and it’s expected that Winslow will go to the 905.

Winslow was drafted in the first round by the Miami Heat in the 2015 NBA Draft. He spent 5 seasons with Miami and his best year came in 2018-19. Winslow averaged 12.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.

Winslow’s also had stops with the Memphis Grizzlies and Los Angeles Clippers.

He’s coming off a season with the Portland Trail Blazers where he played in just 29 games and averaged 6.8 points along with 5 rebounds per game.

Winslow had a ton of potential coming into his NBA career, but injuries have slowed him down. He’s only 27-years-old so maybe the Raptors can save his career.

The move for the Raptors comes before their final preseason game tonight against the Washington Wizards.

Toronto looks to finish 4-0 in the preseason for the first time in franchise history.

The Raptors have looked good so far this preseason and in their final preseason game it’ll be interesting to see who will get major rotation minutes.

Darko Rajakovic wants to run 10-man rotation

Darko Rajakovic has made it clear that he wants to use a 10-man rotation with the Raptors this season.

The top 5 is a lock with Dennis Schroder, Scottie Barnes, O.G. Anunoby, Pascal Siakam and Jakob Poeltl. The top 3 bench unit players figure to be Gary Trent Jr., Chris Boucher and Precious Achiuwa. Jalen McDaniels has done enough to probably secure a spot too.

So that leaves one spot open for Gradey Dick, Malachi Flynn, Thad Young, Otto Porter Jr., and Garrett Temple. Preseason usage would suggest that Flynn might be the one given that final spot.
